After his successful shows in the US recently, Andy Hui is even more encouraged now to hold his first concert in Hong Kong after nearly a decade.
As reported on Oriental Daily, the singer, who spoke to the media recently following his US concert, stated that he will be performing in Singapore next and is now more motivated than ever after the previous performance.
“It’s been a long time since I performed [at a concert]. I performed two shows and each show lasted more than two hours. Everybody was very supportive of me. I am grateful to them for giving me the motivation,” he said.
When asked if he would consider holding a concert in Hong Kong, Andy said that his record company has such plan for him.
“It will be done next year at the earliest, because we haven’t submitted the application. If not next year, I think I will hold a mini show first in smaller venues to give back to the fans for their support,” he said.
Andy pointed out that the last time he held a concert in Hong Kong was in 2015, adding, “I am looking forward to interact with fans live.”
Meanwhile, when asked his opinion about Jacqueline Wong returning to the spotlight as a singer, Andy, who went on hiatus after his scandal with the actress, responded, “I know [about it]. But there is nothing for me to say. Let’s move on.”
