Taiwanese lyricist Lee Kun-Cheng (Eason Lee), who was most known for marrying a woman 40 years his junior, has recently passed away at age 67.
The news was shared by his said young partner Lin Jingen, who revealed on social media that Lee had breathed his last on 8 April at 8.21 pm.
She also stated that the lyricist had been hospitalised for the past seven months and that she was there until his last journey.
According to Sohu, Lee passed away after a long battle with colorectal cancer.
Back in March last year, the lyricist denied that he was seriously ill, saying that he didn’t even have high cholesterol and had always paid special attention to his health.
Lee made headlines as early as 2013 when he was revealed to be dating his friend’s daughter Lin Jingen, who was just 17 at the time. He himself was 57 at the time they met.
The relationship caused a massive scandal, with Lin’s family suing Lee in court for harming the family. However, the family lost the case. The couple got married when Lin turned 18.
