Nearly a year after announcing that he has married Japanese news presenter Aiko Hamaguchi, James Ng finally held their wedding banquet in Hong Kong on 15 March.
The celebration, which was held at a hotel in Tsim Sha Tsui, was attended by many celebrity friends, including veteran star Nancy Sit, actors Joel Chan and Shaum Tam, as well as singer Hubert Wu.
Speaking about the wedding banquet, James stated that the whole event was a simple one, since the two have already registered their marriage. They were also able to finally carry out the Chinese tradition of serving tea to their parents.
“I originally wanted to invite more people, but this is a limited place. Some friends were also unable to attend due to work, and we will have dinner with everybody to celebrate later,” he said.
James also performed Japanese singer Motohiro Hata’s song “Love” at the wedding, saying that it is his wife’s favourite song.
“When I met my wife, she told me she loved this song very much. Motohiro Hata is her idol. I practiced this song for several years, but never had a chance to sing it in front of her. Now is the time,” he said.
As for their baby plans, James said that he is still busy focusing on his career and that they will not be planning for a child until he has some achievements.
Back in May last year, Aiko announced that she has tied the knot with someone and will be living abroad with her husband. Although she covered the face of her husband from view, netizens were quick to find out that the Japanese TV personality had tied the knot with the Hong Kong singer.
