Phoebe Dynevor will not be returning for the third season of “Bridgerton”.
The British actress, who was the lead in the first season as Daphne Bridgerton, confirmed the news recently, saying that she could potentially return in future seasons, but not season three.
“I am just excited to watch as a viewer,” she added.
It is noted that Dynevor’s role was reduced in season two, where the focus was moved to the character of Anthony Bridgerton (played by Jonathan Bailey).
Her departure followed the exit of her onscreen partner Rege-Jean Page, who went on to focus on his movie career following the success of the first season.
Prior to this, it was revealed that Ruby Stokes, who played Francesca Bridgerton, has been replaced by Hannah Dodd.
The third season will focus on Penelope Featherington (Nicola Coughlan) and her relationship with good friend Colin Bridgerton (Luke Newton).
