Several months after giving birth to her second child Seven, Stephy Qi Wei recently took to social media to share her experience in taking care of herself following the birth of her baby.
In her latest blog on the social media platform xiaohongshu, the singer, who is married to Korean-American actor Nathan Lee Seung-Hyun, shared that her postpartum experience this time is different than when she had her first daughter Lucky, the latter in which she spent her confinement at home.
“We neither hired a confinement nurse nor anybody to take care of me. The whole confinement was me and my husband taking care of Lucky, while my mother took care of us… I insisted on fully breastfeeding her, so the timing was always irregular for me… I didn’t take good care of myself,” she said.
However, Stephy said that the same cannot be said with Seven, as she decided to go to a confinement centre instead.
“On the one hand, I didn’t want to repeat the same mistakes, and on the other I want to experience how it is to be taken care of at a professional confinement centre,” she said.
The result is excellent, said Stephy, as the centre provided her with nutritious meals, and that she had since learned that a diet with less salt and oil is necessary after delivery as it has a good impact on recovery and the production of breast milk.
She also stated that the room where she was staying in had a very good view where she can see the beautiful sunset from the window every day. Overall, said Stephy, she lost a lot of weight throughout her stay and was able to regain her pre-pregnancy weight.
