Mikhail Red recently admitted that there is a possibility for “Deleter 2”, seeing that the original that was just released recently is intended to be very open-ended.
The filmmaker, who spoke about the movie, which bagged the most accolades at the Metro Manila Film Festival recently, stated that the movie purposely posed the question to the audience, making it open for another film.
“We’ll talk to Viva. I think they are very excited right now. We brainstormed what’s next in my collaboration with Viva. And that’s what I like about them, they’re very creatively open and free. So, it’s like I can’t wait what to do with them next because we have a few more films signed with them,” he said.
However, if such a project is greenlighted, it will not be Mikhael’s next, as he is already gearing up for a new TV series.
“My next one is actually a sports series. Sports with a tournament at the end are also my favourite genres. But I can’t reveal the exact sport yet,” he added.
“Deleter” won Best Picture at the Metro Manila Film Festival 2022, with Mikhail himself winning Best Director and lead actress Nadine Lustre winning Best Actress. It also brought home the awards for Best Editing, Best Cinematography, Best Visual Effects, and Best Sound.
