It looks like Vilma Santos may be making her acting comeback, according to an Instagram post by director Erik Matti.
On 7 September, the “On the Job” director shared a photo of him with the actress-politician, writing, “I’ve worked with @rosavilmasantosrecto in a few commercials but I’ve always wished to do a movie with the Philippine film industry’s most iconic star for all seasons.”
“We will be developing two projects with her and after hearing the stories, Ate Vi gave it a nod. A very happy, excited nod. So excited!!!” he added.
On the other hand, Vilma posted a photo from the said meeting, which was also attended by producer Dondon Monteverde, writing, “Had a lunch meeting with Direk @erikmatti and @dondonmonteverde. EXCITING!!!”
Vilma’s last movie was the 2016 family drama, “Everything About Her”.
In a previous interview, the actress did say that she hopes to get back to prioritising acting, after deciding not to run in the 2022 elections.
