Singer Jaya recently assured that she and her family are safe, after it was revealed that her house in the US was engulfed by fire.
On 8 August, the singer shared a photo of her home on social media, and wrote, “God is so good! Our house just burned to the ground but we are all safe.”
“I have no words but GOD IS GOOD!” she added.
Daughter Sabriya, who turned 16 recently, took to social media to also assure their well-being, saying, “Me and the family are okay and all safe. Thank God no one was injured. My phone screen is half gone [because] of the fire so I won’t be able to reply to anyone for the meantime.”
Jaya, real name Maria Luisa Ramsey-Gotidoc, moved to the US in July 2021 with her whole family, following difficulties caused by the pandemic.
Fellow celebrities including Pokwang, Pops Fernandez, and Heart Evangelista sent their prayers and well wishes in the comment section, with the former writing, “God bless and protect your family, Miss Jaya.”
No reports on what caused the fire.
