Taiwanese singer Miu Chu has recently passed away.
As reported on Epoch Times, the news was shared by her family via Miu’s official Facebook account, which read, “After bringing laughter and joy with music, Miu Chu has left us peacefully on 3 July.”
“She has always worked very hard for her work and life. Her family is still saddened by the loss and there are still too many things to deal with. We hope that the media will give them some space.”
The post also added that the memorial service details will be announced later on.
It is noted that Miu, who became a star after winning the third season of the Taiwanese reality show, “Super Idol”, had been battling breast cancer since 2020. Although she revealed that her condition was stable last year, it was reported that her health started worsening around April this year.
She was 40.
