Jay Chou recently proved to fans that he was not playing this time when it comes to releasing new music, as he unveiled his first single “Greatest Works of Arts”.

On 6 July, the Taiwanese multi-hyphenate released the music video for the song, which features renowned pianist Lang Lang.

The music video, which was directed by Jay himself, was set in the historic Samaritaine department store located in the French capital. It also features visual references to Belgian artist René Magritte’s “The Son of Man” painting, as well as an actor portraying the surrealist artist, Salvador Dalí, as reported on NME.

It is noted that both artists were among the few artists mentioned in the song’s lyrics.

Halfway through the music video, there is also a piano battle between Jay and Lang Lang.

Previously, Jay announced that he will be releasing his latest solo album on 15 July, though made no mention of the title. It will be his first since 2016’s “Jay Chou’s Bedtime Stories”.
