BIGBANG’s T.O.P recently released a letter following the release of the group’s new single, seemingly bidding his farewell as he departs from YG Entertainment.

The rapper, real name Choi Seung-Hyun, posted the said letter on social media on 5 March, which read, “Finally the music is out. I wouldn’t be here without all of YG staff’s help. Thank you all for last 16 years. It means a lot to me.”

“I’m thinking I might be going through another important turning point in my life at the moment. I look forward to the day when I’ll be able to come back as a man of inspiration in the near future. I’m utmost grateful for my fans,” he added.

It is noted that YG Entertainment announced T.O.P’s departure back in February, stating that the singer “will be taking on a wide variety of new challenges as both an artist and an entrepreneur.”

However, it assured that the rapper will work together with the group for promotional activities.

BIGBANG released its comeback single on 4 April. The ballad, titled, “Still Life”, had since accumulated over 24.8 million views, with fans expressing their delight that the boy band is finally making their comeback after a long hiatus.
