Sharon Cuneta is elated to be able to return to the stage again for another round of “ICONIC” concert with Regine Velasquez.
The actress, who spoke about the upcoming show, said that both she and Regine have missed performing in front of a live audience, despite having performed online throughout the pandemic.
“I did a Mother’s Day concert online for an ABS-CBN fundraiser and it really was so different. It’s like you can’t give what you want to give because you can’t see, those who don’t have the energy to feed off of. So, we’re looking forward to that now that everything is open. You can’t really compare,” she said.
She is also excited about collaborating with Regine again, three years after their last “ICONIC” concert.
“I’m excited because when I’m with Regine onstage, it’s like a comfort zone because I’m with someone I trust because she’s a very generous co-performer. For me she is the best and she shares that light with you. I’m alto and she’s soprano, which makes for a very interesting performance when the low and high are blended,” she said.
The upcoming concert will be held on 17 and 18 June at the Marriott Grand Ballroom at Resorts World Manila in Pasay City.
