Although she was unable to attend the promotional event for her new series, “Barrack O’Karma 2”, Selena Lee recently decided to join her cast members virtually via video.
The actress, who recently opened up about her struggle with autoimmune disease, shared with the media during the event that she has been receiving treatment for several weeks now and is in steady recovery.
“I’ve been taking nutritional supplements in addition to the treatment,” she said.
Selena also revealed that due to her weakened immunity, she was advised not to go out as much as possible, adding that she will only be able to do so if she stops taking steroids.
“The doctor told me to take it for a few months, but if I stop, I can make it in time to promote the series finale,” she added.
However, the actress stressed that she tries her best not to go out to ensure her safety, and learns to relax herself through exercises with fiancé Anson Cha.
The actress shared that she began feeling unwell at the end of October last year, and that one of her eyes became enlarged because of her condition.
“I didn’t care about it at the time, but when I was having dinner with Joel [Chan], he mentioned it to me and thought I had done plastic surgery,” she said, lightheartedly.
