Maris Racal couldn’t help but feel touched to be given the title of the next romantic comedy queen as she promotes her new series, “How to Move On in 30 Days”.
The title was given to her by veteran comedian and director John Lapus, who said that Maris should be called the rom-com princess now that the last rom-com queen Angelica Panganiban is soon to become a mother.
“I am pretty sure she will be the next rom-com queen. Regine Velasquez was one in the early days, then Toni Gonzaga, then Angelica Panganiban. It’s Maris Racal’s time to shine,” he said.
Maris, who was moved by the praise, couldn’t help but thanked her said co-star and said, “I’m going to cry!”
The upcoming series co-stars Albie Casino and Carlo Aquino and revolves around a girl who promises to move on from her ex-boyfriend within 30 days, and goes on to chronicle her journey on her own vlog and later hires another man to be her fictitious boyfriend.
“How To Move On In 30 Days” also serves as the first project under the partnership between ABS-CBN and streaming platform YouTube.
