Fala Chen’s new miniseries, “Irma Vep” is going to Cannes.
The news was shared by the actress herself, who revealed that the said series will premiere at the Cannes Film Festival alongside three other titles, “Nos Frangins”, “Esterno Notte”, and “Dodo”.
No news as to whether she will be making her Cannes appearance or not.
It is noted that “Irma Vep” is a series remake of the same name from original director Olivier Assayas.
The original film stars Maggie Cheung in the lead in a story about the disasters that resulted as a middle-aged French film director (played by Jean-Pierre Léaud) attempts to remake Louis Feuillade’s classic silent film serial Les Vampires.
The 1996 film also went to Cannes the same year, and was screened in the Un Certain Regard section.
The new series also co-stars Alicia Vikander, Adria Arjona, Carrie Brownstein, and Jerrod Carmichael.
