The sudden passing of veteran actor Kenneth Tsang truly shocked the entertainment industry, as peers and fellow colleagues alike began to express sadness over the news.

Patrick Tse, who worked with Kenneth on the reality show, “Three Amigos Bon Voyage”, stated that he is still shocked after hearing what happened, saying, “I still hope that it’s not a fact. I am so confused. We have always planned to star in the second season of our show.”

Fellow co-star Joe Junior also echoed a similar sentiment, saying that he felt regretful and sad, reluctant to give up his old friend.

“He took good care of me when we were filming the show. We would occasionally meet up for dinner parties,” he said.

Louis Koo, who collaborated with Kenneth in the film “Overheard”, expressed, “I just received this news and haven’t digested it yet. Of course, I feel sad and regretful.”

As for Simon Yam, who worked with Kenneth in films like “Wave of All Flesh” and the 2022 movie, “Man on the Edge”, he said, “He is a senior that I respected very much, who would always shine in the industry. I will truly miss him.”

On the other hand, Jackie Chan, who has worked with Kenneth in various movies from “Police Story 3” to “Rush Hour 2” also took to Weibo to express his sadness, writing, “In my career, there are many people that I admire, and Kenneth is one of them. His image, acting skills and professionalism have made him an evergreen role model in the industry and for our younger generations to learn from. I am shocked and sad to hear the news, may you rest in peace. We miss you.”

Kenneth was found lifeless in his hotel room in Tsim Sha Tsui on 27 April. The veteran actor was on his two-week quarantine following his return from a two-week trip to Malaysia and Singapore.
