Ananda Everingham is set to star in the Thai adaptation of BBC’s hit series, “Doctor Foster”.
The actor, most known for movies like “Shutter” and “Queen of Langkasuka”, will be playing the role of the cheating husband, played by Bertie Carvel in the original and Park Hae-Joon in the hit Korean remake, “The World of the Married”.
Speaking about the project recently, the actor shared that he has been in talks about working in the said Channel 3 remake for a while now.
“Looking at it, I saw that it was the kind of role every actor would want to try,” he said.
Aside from Ananda, it was revealed that the titular character will be played by Anne Thongprasom of “The Letter: Jod Mai Rak” fame, while the role of the mistress will be played by Patricia Good.
The original BBC One series was released back in 2015 and stars Suranne Jones as Dr. Gemma Foster, whose ideal life upended when she suspects her husband of having an affair. However, it was the 2020 Korean remake, “The World of the Married” that was a bigger hit, spawning international remakes including Philippines’ “The Broken Marriage Vow”.
