A week after competing for the title of Miss World 2021, Tracy Maureen Perez is now ready to come home.
On 23 March, the beauty queen shared a photo of her backstage at the Miss World 2021 pageant in San Juan, Puerto Rico, saying that she has now left the beautiful island.
“Oh and what a ride it has been! Truly eye-opening and life-changing. My heart swells with so much pride, love, and honour that a simple person like me was able to walk the stage of the world and leave a mark that will forever remain. To my beloved Philippines, I love you, Pilipinas — this is just the beginning of an exciting and meaningful journey ahead! We are now seen, we are now heard, and we are never forgotten.”
“Now I know in my heart that this is truly where I belong, for my mother and for the Philippines, I will always be of service,” she added.
Tracy finished as a Top 13 semifinalist at the said event that was held on 16 March, with Miss Poland Karolina Bielawska winning the crown.
It is noted that the Miss World 2021 pageant was scheduled to be held last year, but was postponed after several candidates and staff of the pageant were tested positive for COVID-19.
