It was recently revealed that Andy Hui will be signing with Universal Music in his effort to restart his music career.
As reported on Mingpao, the singer, who is slowly making his way back to the limelight following his 2019 scandal with actress Jacqueline Wong, was recently rumoured to have signed with the said label, which houses stars like Jacky Cheung, Eason Chan, and Alan Tam.
The rumour had since been confirmed by a source from Universal, saying, “Andy has signed a contract with Universal and will continue the cooperation. He joined Go East in the early days, and now is back with the global family again. The work plan will be announced later. Thank you.”
It is noted that Andy made his debut as a part of China Star Record before joining Go East in 1997. He later moved to East Asia Records and then to Sun Entertainment before finally signing with Universal.
Andy has begun testing the waters by appearing on ViuTV’s “Chill” last year, and has also shot a new drama in Taiwan.
Prior to that, the married singer had gone on hiatus after he was caught having a scandalous affair with TVB actress Jacqueline Wong in April 2019.
