Japanese actress Yu Aoi is currently pregnant with her first child.
As reported on Epoch Times, the news was announced by Yoshimoto Kogyo, the management agency of her comedian husband Ryota Yamasato, stating that the actress is now in a stable period.
“The child is expected to be born in summer and we hope that everybody will protect them warmly in the future,” the agency added.
Ryota later shared the news on his radio programme, expressing hope that his wife and child will be healthy and safe.
The actress, most known for her role as Hagumi in the live-action adaptation of “Honey and Clover”, Megumi in “Rurouni Kenshin” and Tetsuko Arisugawa in “Hana and Alice”, tied the knot with the one half of the manzai comedy duo The Nankai Candies in 2019.
The two first met through Shizuyo Yamasaki, who co-starred with Aoi in the 2006 film, “Hula Girls”.
