Teresa Mo recently revealed that she is now stranded in Vancouver despite needing to return to Hong Kong to begin filming her new movie.
As reported on Mingpao, the actress, who spoke in an interview virtually from Canada, shared that she and her husband flew to the country to reunite with their two daughters, but found themselves stuck following the travel restrictions due to the rising number of COVID-19 cases.
“The whole thing can be turned into a movie script. It’s a nightmare. Since there are no direct flights to Canada, we have to look for a place to transfer… but we have to consider the quarantine period as well,” she said.
Teresa expressed hope that the government will help these “Hong Kong people in exile” as she described it, saying that it is unacceptable that Hong Kong residents are not allowed to return.
“When I heard the announcement that even Hong Kong residents can’t return, it feels like an unforgettable sentence. It reminds me of what my grandma once said, ‘If you did wrong, don’t come back to the house’,” she added.
As for now, Teresa said that she plans to return to Hong Kong via Thailand.
