Netflix gets “Bridgerton” fans going by releasing its first trailer for Season 2 of the Regency Era-inspired drama.
The trailer, which was released on 15 February, starts with the beloved Queen Charlotte receiving Lady Whistledown’s newsletter as Julie Andrew’s voice narrates, “Did you miss me?”
Lady Whistledown then goes on to share that she has been “honing her skills and sharpening her knives…”, as the trailer ends with Penelope Featherington (Nicola Coughlan), who was revealed to be the columnist in question last season, smiles and expresses, “…for all of you.”
The trailer also revealed shots of scenes that include the arrival of the Sharma sisters; the tension between Kate Sharma and the Bridgerton heir, Anthony; as well as a horse race scene which reveals an excited looking Eloise (who seems to finally get her day in the sun).
The upcoming second season, which will focus on Anthony Bridgerton’s quest in finding a spouse, will begin streaming on Netflix on 25 March.
