Nearly two years following his sex scandal, Show Lo was elated to be able to make his showbiz comeback by performing at a New Year’s Eve concert.
On New Year’s Day, the singer shared a photo from his 30-minute performance in Hualien, and admitted that he was both excited and worried to be on the stage again at first, not knowing what the public will say or react.
However, Show stated that he was relieved to hear the fans screaming as soon as he got on stage.
“I felt myself coming back. When I saw someone crying in the audience, I realised that there was still a group of people waiting for me. The tension and anxiety disappeared for a moment… although the tears filled my eyes, I must present my best side and live up to everyone’s acceptance and expectations,” he wrote.
Show also thanked the Hualien County for the opportunity, and promised to return the favour in the future.
It is noted that the decision for the singer to be invited to perform was highly criticised by many, though the Hualien County government defended the decision by saying that “a hometown is a safe haven forever”.
Show also revealed that he will be releasing a new song on 28 January.
The singer made headlines back in April 2020 after his then-girlfriend, social media influencer Grace Chow, dropped a bombshell that he had cheated on her with multiple women throughout their relationship, including with his own management artiste, Linda Chien.
