Lee Jung-Jae was recently named one of the actors to be nominated at the upcoming Golden Globe Awards.
The Korean star, who is nominated for his role as Seong Gi-Hun in Netflix’s “Squid Game”, will be competing in the Best Performance by an Actor in a Television Series alongside Billy Porter (“Pose”), Jeremy Strong (“Succession”), fellow Netflix star Omar Sy (“Lupin”), as well as the award favourite, Brian Cox (“Succession”).
Aside from Lee, Oh Young-Soo is also nominated for his performance in the said series in the Best Supporting Actor category.
The veteran actor is set to go against Billy Crudup and Mark Duplass (“The Morning Show”), Kieran Culkin (“Succession”) and Brett Goldstein (“Ted Lasso”).
Meanwhile, the series itself, which became Netflix’s most successful series since its release early this year, is nominated in the Best Television Series category for Drama, and will be competing with “Lupin”, “The Morning Show”, “Pose” and “Succession.”
