Shah Rukh Khan’s eldest son Aryan Khan recently made his first appearance before court in Mumbai, two days after he – along with seven others – were arrested following a drug raid on a cruise ship.
The 23 year-old’s legal rep has demanded bail, stating that there was no concrete evidence against charges brought against him, that include purchase, possession and use of banned substance.
“Aryan had no ticket, no cabin or seat on board the cruise. He was there because he had been invited. He didn’t even have a boarding pass. Nothing has been found on him. He was arrested on the basis of chat only,” said lawyer Satish Maneshinde.
It is noted that Aryan was at the party on the said cruise off the coast of Mumbai where the raid by Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) took place.
The said raid yielded 13 grams of cocaine, 21 grams of charas, 22 pills of MDMA and 5 grams of MD in all.
NCB official told the media that suspects were searched and different drugs were found hidden in their clothes, undergarments and purses.
On the other hand, several celebrities have taken to social media to express their support for father Shah Rukh Khan, with Salman Khan even seen arriving at the actor’s residence on the night of 3 October to give him encouragement.
