Distinguished and charming. That’s how George Clooney can be described. Also, he’s influential, he’s married to a powerful woman, he does a lot of activism and charity work, he makes award-winning films which some of them revolve around the topic of politics – but George Clooney would rather not spend his old age resolving world problems.
In a recent interview, the actor, who is currently promoting his new movie, “The Tender Bar”, stated that his future plans is to slow down, and that running for office would be the opposite of that.
“I would actually like to have a nice life,” he said, when asked about a possibility of him joining politics. Clooney added that he would like to do more of the things he loves while he is still healthy to do so.
“I turned 60 this year and I had a conversation with my wife and we were working a lot, as we both do, and I said we have to think of these as the halcyon years,” he said. “In 20 years, I will be 80 and that’s a real number. Doesn’t matter how much you work out, what you eat, you’re 80 and so I said we have to make sure we enjoy and live these years in the best possible way.”
It is noted that Clooney has already been slowing down his career for the past few years, having starred in only several movies and directed a few others.
Let’s have a look at a few of his famous movies over the course of his career, starting with his breakout TV role.
