It was reported that Tamil superstar Vijay has filed a case against 11 respondents including his own parents.
According to sources, the actor allegedly filed a complaint against his former executives and VMI team executives, as well as his filmmaker father SA Chandrasekhar and mum Shoba Chandrasekhar, as a way to seek a ban on them from misusing his name and his fan clubs for political gains.
Last year, it was reported that a political party was registered under his name with the Election Commission of India, with following reports revealing that Vijay’s father was using his fans club Vijay Makkal Iyakkam as a political party called All India Thalapathy Vijay Makkal Iyakkam – sparking speculations that Vijay was going into politics.
The actor had since denied his involvement and urged fans not to join.
“If anybody tries to misuse my name, photo, or my fan clubs for their political aspirations, I will take necessary actions against them,” he said in an official statement.
On the other hand, when asked about the rift between him due to political issue, SA Chandrasekhar stated that “there is no family without a problem” and that everything will turn out fine in the end.
Meanwhile, Vijay himself is currently busy filming his new movie “Beast”, directed by filmmaker Nelson.
