After denying it multiple times in the past, Nargis Fakhri recently admitted that yes, she was in a relationship with fellow actor Uday Chopra in the past.
In a tell-all interview with ETimes recently, the “Amavas” actress revealed that she and the “Mohabbatein” actor were together for five years before the relationship finally ended. “He was the most beautiful human I met in India,” she said
Asked why she never confessed to it in the past, Nargis stated that she was advised by many to keep it hidden from the public.
“But I regret that because I should have shouted from the mountain tops that I was with such a beautiful soul… The internet and social media is very fake and the people out there won’t know what the truth is. Most often we idolise certain people who are actually bad behind closed doors,” she said.
Back in 2014, amid reports about their romance, Nargis denied the relationship, saying, “I am repeating myself: Uday and I aren’t dating each other. But he will always remain a part of my life. I have very few friends in India, and I feel fortunate that he’s one of them.” Uday also went on social media in 2016 to deny it, saying that the two of them are just close friends.
