Myolie Wu is set to top-bill the upcoming mainland drama, “Below the Lion Rock: Love”.

As reported on HKET, the actress will be playing the lead in the upcoming series to commemorate the upcoming 25th anniversary of Hong Kong’s handover from Britain to China.

According to Myolie, the drama, written by Ella Chan and produced by Lee Kwok Lap, will revolve around a Hong Kong-style cafe and the people involved and/or frequented the premise.

“I am glad to be able to work with producer Lee ten years after I first met him and I am excited to work with a great scriptwriter like Ella,” she said.

The actress will also be portraying the same character in her youth and older age, as the story will be spanning over three decades from 1984 to 2021.

The series will also star Aarif Rahman Lee and Huang Jue, and is scheduled to begin streaming on Tencent Video in 2022.
