Joyce Tang has no interest to give any response regarding ex-boyfriend Marco Ngai, following the actor’s recent interview in which he spoke about their past relationship and his battle with mental health issue.
As reported on Mingpao, the actress, who appeared at an event recently, was asked about the said interview, in which Marco spoke about contemplating suicide following his divorce and subsequent unemployment due to the pandemic – an intention that he didn’t go through with due to his daughter Jessica.
“There are always ups and downs in life, and the most important thing is to face it happily. Children are very important. Their growth environment is created by adults. I know that he will have a new project soon and I wish him success,” she said indifferently.
When mentioned that Marco admitted to have left to work in mainland China to escape the reality that she is getting more popular after their breakup, Joyce stated that she introduced the manager who got Marco work in the north.
“But I would rather not talk about it anymore. We are not in contact with one another,” she said.
As to the actor’s confession that he was happy to see her in a loving relationship, Joyce replied, “Thank you very much.”
Joyce and Marco were together for nearly ten years before calling it quits in 2007. The actress subsequently moved on and married her non-showbiz boyfriend, Matthew Chu in 2013.
