Veteran South Korean actress Kim Min-Kyung has recently passed away.
As reported on Newsis, the news was confirmed by her agency, DaHong Entertainment, stating that the actress died at a Seoul hospital. However, no cause of death has been revealed by the said agency.
Kim Min-Kyung started her acting career in 1979 as a member of the Shinhyup Theater Company. For over 40 years, she has acted in various genres, including plays, dramas, and movies.
In 1981, Kim won the Rookie of the Year award at the Korean Theatre Festival. Among her notable works include the movies “Someone Behind You”, “Where The Truth Lies”, “Tazza”, and TV series like “The Flower in Prison”, “The Moon Embracing the Sun”, and “When the Camellia Blooms”.
Her most recent role was the 2021 thriller, “Mouse” co-starring Lee Seung-Gi. Her two movies, “Spiritwalker” and “1947 Boston” have yet to be released.
She was 61.
