Despite the pornography case against her husband Raj Kundra, Bollywood actress Shilpa Shetty is focused instead on her upcoming comeback project, “Hungama 2”.
On 24 July, several days after her husband’s arrest made the news, Shilpa posted a poster of the said movie, and wrote, “I believe and practice the teachings of Yoga, “The only place where life exists is the present moment, NOW.”
“Hungama 2 involves the relentless efforts of an entire team that’s worked very hard to make a good film, and the film shouldn’t suffer… ever! So today, I request you all to watch Hungama 2 with your families to put a smile on your face and for the sake of every single person attached to the film. Thank you.”
Prior to the said post, Shilpa broke her silence with a page from a book that highlighted James Thurber’s quote that read, “Do not look back in anger, or forward in fear, but around in awareness.”
The said movie premieres on Disney+ Hotstar on 23 July 23. It is Shilpa’s first movie in several years, with her last feature film being the 2007’s “Apne”.
Shilpa’s husband, 45 year-old Raj Kundra was arrested by the Mumbai Crime Branch on 19 July for production and distribution of pornographic content.
It was back in February when the Mumbai police revealed that they have arrested five people for allegedly forcing aspiring actresses into porn movies after conning them into thinking that they were getting roles in a web series. The police is now claiming that Raj was making profits through this illegal business by taking subscription fees from users of the app where these films were shown.
Shilpa has denied her husband’s involvement in the crime, proclaiming that he is innocent.
