Following TVB executive Sandy Yue, Voice Entertainment CEO Herman Ho, and TVB Group CEO Mark Lee, another TVB executive is set to leave the company a few months after Eric Tsang and Wong Cho Lam were appointed as top management.
As reported on Sina News, on 8 June, it was revealed that Felix To, Deputy General Manager of Drama Production & Programme, will be leaving the company officially on 2 September, with memo of his departure reportedly has been sent to TVB employees.
No reason has been given for his departure, which came less than ten years since he started working for the company.
Felix To is known for his many merits with the company, breaking the traditional TV model in 2014 by introducing myTV Super, and creating a variety of cooperations between the company and mainland streaming platforms.
He is also known for producing several highly-rated TVB dramas including “Line Walker 2”, “Another Era”, “Legal Mavericks 2”, and the Kara Hui-starrer “The Defected”.
His upcoming projects include “Barrack O’Karma 2” and “Big White Duel 2”
The departure has also sparked rumours that To is trying to avoid further “drama” that has reportedly sparked after Eric supposedly sided with fellow executives Catherine Tsang and Virginia Lok – an internal political struggle that has been denied time and time again by TVB management.
