Jonny Lee Miller is set to join the cast of “The Crown” for the next season.

The British actor will be portraying the role of John Major, UK’s Prime Minister from 1990 to 1997. Sir John served as the leader of the Conservative Party and succeeded Margaret Thatcher after she ended her term after 11 years.

Miller will be joining Imelda Staunton, who is replacing Olivia Coleman as Queen Elizabeth II, and Jonathan Pryce as Prince Philip.

Imelda Staunton will play Queen Elizabeth II in Season 5 of “The Crown”

On the other hand, Elizabeth Debicki will be replacing Emma Corrin as Princess Diana.

This would be Miller’s first series since he ended his stint playing Sherlock Holmes on the American procedural drama, “Elementary” in 2019. He is also set to star in the upcoming thriller, “Alice”.
