Reminding people to stay home and going around distributing food are not enough for Bollywood star Salman Khan, as he was recently revealed to have helped a boy affected by the pandemic.
The actor, who has been organising food donation drives to help frontliners and hospitals, was revealed to have assisted an 18 year-old boy from Karnataka, after finding out that the boy’s father has died of COVID-19.
This was confirmed by Yuva Sena (political party) leader Rahul S. Kanal who has been working alongside Salman, who stated that they have provided the boy with not only food but educational equipment as well, with plans to continue providing for him in the long run.
On the other hand, Salman is also balancing his charity work with his acting projects, as he gears up for the release of “Radhe: Your Most Wanted Bhai”. The movie co-stars Disha Patani, Randeep Hooda and Jackie Shroff.
India has recently become the second country in the world with the most cases, with 226,188 deaths and daily new cases amounting hundreds of thousands.
Among Bollywood stars who were tested positive for the coronavirus include Katrina Kaif and rumoured boyfriend Vicky Kaushal, Akshay Kumar, Aamir Khan, Govinda, Alia Bhatt and boyfriend Ranbir Kapoor, with the recent one being Deepika Padukone, whose family members were also tested positive.
