Toni Gonzaga recently revealed that the filming for the Filipino remake of the hit South Korean movie, “My Sassy Girl” has already completed.
The actress, who plays the lead in the new movie, shared the news in an interview with G3 San Diego YouTube channel, saying that the production completed last December with no release date for the time being.
“I think they will wait,” she said, referring to VIVA Films’ intention to release the movie in theatres.
In the same interview, Gonzaga also revealed that the cast will be meeting with the original actors of the 2001 film. In the original “My Sassy Girl”, Jun Ji-hyun plays the title role alongside Cha Tae-yun.
“I don’t know if I’m allowed to say this, but I’ll say it anyway, part of the franchise deal – and I’m praying it will happen – is that we get to go to Korea to meet the original cast. So, I hope it pushes through,” she added.
Aside from Gonzaga, the upcoming movie also stars Pepe Herrera.
