Columbia Pictures’ Aquaverse will be a highly anticipated fun destination for all.

Sony recently announced that it is opening its very first theme park in Thailand, which will be known as Columbia Pictures’ Aquaverse.

Sony Pictures Entertainment revealed that they have closed a deal alongside Thailand-based attractions developer Amazon Falls to develop the 14-acre prime location in the seaside town of Bangsaray – located 20 minutes from Pattaya and 90 minutes from Bangkok – for the said attraction.

Columbia Pictures’ Aquaverse is described as a unique theme and water park and entertainment destination, featuring state-of-the-art rides and newly themed attractions that will bring to life beloved characters from some of the most successful Hollywood movies including “Ghostbusters”, “Jumanji”, “Bad Boys”, “Men in Black” and “Hotel Transylvania”.

It also features various water and land-based attractions, including the Men in Black Thrill Rides that are water coaster rides – one of which has a 12-meter free-fall ride that careens down a MIB Wormhole, the Jumanji Jungle Adventure where one can visit Jaguar Mountain while being chased by Mandrills before plunging into Jumanji’s splash pool, as well as Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs Swallow Falls River Adventure, where visitors can tour the Aquaverse along the lazy river and meet the amazing Foodimals, and many many more super exciting activities and things to enjoy.

One can also experience the thrill of the race with the new outdoor go-kart tracks in a neon Miami-themed racecourse called Bad Boys Raceway.
“The launch of Columbia Pictures’ Aquaverse represents a first step in what we envision to be a broader collaboration that will pioneer the future of an integrated entertainment destination as part of the EEC’s smart city,” said Liakat Dhanji, CEO and Chairman of Amazon Falls Co. Ltd., owners and operators of Columbia Pictures’ Aquaverse. “Alongside our unique rides and attractions, we look forward to forging new partnerships with top accommodation, technology, retail and F&B partners as we curate an unmatched lifestyle experience that will resonate with all our visitors.”
In addition to these rides, visitors will also be able to enjoy a slew of live shows, immersive entertainments, themed restaurants and retail locations.
The full transformation is expected to be completed by October of 2021.
