Kelley Day is elated to be able to win first runner-up at the recently held 2021 Miss Eco International pageant.
The actress, who has never competed in an international competition prior, took to Instagram to share her thoughts about winning second place at the event held in Egypt on 5 April, writing, “My first international pageant… and what an experience it has been. I’m extremely touched by all the support and wonderful messages I have been receiving from all of you. Philippines, this was all for you. Especially to those who stayed up till 5am to watch the Coronation night Live.”
“I also want to say a HUGE thank you to Miss Eco International Organisation for the opportunities, experiences, and memories. And thank you also to my team who prepared me for EVERYTHING – I would not have come this far without any of you,” she added.

During the Q&A, Day was asked how she will promote safety amid rising violence in schools, and expressed, “Unfortunately, as the world is going through a lot of changes right now, there is violence. The best thing we can do right now is to improve the security in schools. There has to be things like security checks and metal detectors. That’s really all we can do right now and just share the word.”
Prior to winning first runner-up, Day bagged the Best National Costume of the competition.
The Miss Eco International title, on the other hand, was bestowed to South African beauty Gizzelle Uys, while the second runner-up went to Alexandria Kelly from the USA.
