Emilia Clarke is set to make her Marvel debut in the upcoming Disney+ series, “Secret Invasion”.
The actress, most known for her role as Daenerys Targaryen in HBO’s “Game of Thrones”, will be joining the likes of Samuel L. Jackson, whose Marvel character Nick Fury will be one of the main protagonists of the upcoming series.
No news as to what character Clarke will play in the new show, as Marvel Studios has declined to comment on the matter.

“Secret Invasion”, another one of Marvel Studios many planned projects for the streaming service, will also feature Kingsley Ben-Adir and Ben Mendelsohn. The series is said to use “Captain Marvel” as the jumping-off point and follow a group of shape-shifting aliens who have been infiltrating Earth for years, with Ben-Adir set as the a main villain.
Prior to Clarke’s involvement, it was reported that “The Crown” star Olivia Colman is in talks to play a role in the series.
Clarke’s last project was the 2019 Christmas movie, “Last Christmas”. She also stars as Qi’ra in “Solo: A Star Wars Story”, and will be voicing the character of Malicia in the upcoming Sky Cinema animated fantasy, “The Amazing Maurice”.
