Although now is not the most advisable nor convenient time to star in a stage play, it did not deter Kristal Tin from trying, as she announced that she is making her stage debut for the first time ever.
As reported on Mingpao, the former TVB actress recently revealed that she will be starring in the stage play, “Murder in San José”, the same Candace Chong 2009 play that was adapted into film last year starring Sammi Cheng and Charlene Choi and renamed, “Fatal Visit”.
Speaking to the media about the role, Kristal said that she was more excited than nervous about doing her first theatre performance.
“At first, I was worried about my performance because working on TV and movies are very different from doing a stage play. But after learning and rehearsing more, I am more confident now,” she said.
Playing the same role that was portrayed by Sammi in the movie, Kristal said that she is not worried at all that audiences may compare their performances.
“Each actor must have confidence to win the stage, otherwise I would feel sorry for the audience who bought the tickets. I think every actor who plays the same role will have different interpretation of the role,” she said.
