British actress Indira Varma is set to join the cast of the upcoming Disney+ Star Wars series centering on Obi-Wan Kenobi.

The actress, most known to global audiences as the femme fatale Ellaria Sand from “Game of Thrones”, reportedly will join Ewan McGregor and Hayden Christiansen – both who will be reprising their role as the titular character and Anakin Skywalker/Darth Vader respectively.

Although the production is still mum about the details of Varma’s character, fans are speculating that she could be playing either Sith assassin and longtime Obi-Wan foe, Asajj Ventress, or Mandalorian Duchess Satine Kryze.

The upcoming series will follow the adventures of Obi-Wan Kenobi during his exile on Tatooine, which will be set in between the events of “Revenge of the Sith” and “A New Hope”.

“The Mandalorian” veteran Deborah Chow is set to direct.

Varma is currently a series regular on ABC’s legal drama, “For Life” and has starred in several other series including Amazon’s “Carnival Row” and HBO’s “Rome”.
