After keeping mum on her thoughts about the recent documentary about her and her controversial conservatorship issue, Britney Spears recently took to social media to express her thoughts about it.
On 31 March, the pop star shared a video of her dancing to Aerosmith’s “Crazy”, and expressed, “My life has always been very speculated, watched, and judged really my whole life! For my sanity I need to dance to [Aerosmith] every night of my life to feel wild and human and alive!”
“I have been exposed my whole life performing in front of people! It takes a lot of strength to TRUST the universe with your real vulnerability cause I’ve always been so judged, insulted, and embarrassed by the media… and I still am till this day!” she added.

She also spoke about the documentary “Framing Britney Spears”, which had shine a light into her life as a pop star, the many struggles she had to face from her breakup with Justin Timberlake, media scrutiny, controlling management, as well as the conservatorship that stemmed from her facing a mental health crisis 12 years ago.
However, her take on the documentary was not as fans hoped, as she expressed, “I didn’t watch the documentary but from what I did see of it I was embarrassed by the light they put me in. I cried for two weeks and well, I still cry sometimes! I do what I can in my own spirituality with myself to try and keep my own joy, love, and happiness.”
However, it is interesting to note that most of her fans and supporters of the #FreeBritney movement did not believe that the post was written by Spears herself.
“LMAO. Britney did not write that caption,” one netizen posted.
“There is not a single chance she wrote this,” said another.
Actress Chrishell Stause was also in the same belief, writing, “Instead of dancing, can we get a video of you typing your own captions next time? I want to believe it’s you speaking for yourself, but I am skeptical. We love you.” Stause’s comment had since received more than a thousand likes from other fans.
Fans of the singer has been of the idea that Spears had no control over her own social media accounts, and that she has supposedly been calling for help to her fans by sending messages through her photos and videos. This included wearing a certain colour dress or shoes, after netizens asked her to do so if she needed help.
It is noted that Spears’ note comes just days after her lawyer filed a petition asking for Britney’s father Jamie to be removed as her conservator (legal guardian), with experienced conservator Jodi Montgomery to take over the role. Jaime Spears has had control over her estate and other aspects of her life for over a decade since he was made legal guardian in 2008.
