Fala Chen surprised many recently by announcing that she has given birth to a baby girl.
The former TVB star announced the surprising news on social media on Valentine’s Day, 14 February, with a photo of three hands, which presumably belonging to her, her newborn and her husband. She wrote “The past 10 months have been a wondrous journey, filled with unknowns, amazement, love, and lots of joy. She added a hashtag #mylittlevalentine.
“Our hearts are full as new parents, and we look forward to every day with this little lady,” she added.

Fala also shared another photo of her during pregnancy – the only pregnancy image she shared on social media.
Friends and fans alike took to the comments to congratulate the actress, including former colleague Linda Chung, who wrote, “[Oh my God!] You are a mommy now! Congratulations! So happy for you.”
Former partner Daniel Sit expressed, “Congratulations! I am happy for her.”
Fala tied the knot with French husband Emmanuel Straschnov in May 2019. In a short interview with the media, Fala revealed that her child was born in the last days of the Year of the Rat and has been nicknamed Little Minnie.
