Fans will be excited to know that the Duke of Hastings could be playing a wizard or a warrior, a ruler or a rogue in the upcoming Paramount’s Dungeons & Dragons movie.
British-Zimbabwean actor Regé-Jean Page, the British actor most known for his role as Simon Bassett in the Netflix Regency series, “Bridgerton”, is set to join the likes of Chris Pine, Michelle Rodriguez and Justice Smith in the upcoming movie, with sources saying that he is closing the deal on the project.
The upcoming film will be helmed by “Game Night” directors Jonathan Goldstein and John Francis Daley, who also wrote the latest version of the script, which was based on Michael Gilio’s original draft.
On the other hand, Page is also set to host NBC’s “Saturday Night Live” this weekend – a sign that the actor is seriously making it big in Hollywood following the success of the said Shonda Rhimes-produced series.
Prior to “Bridgerton”, Page has starred in a number of films and series including “Roots” and “Mortal Engines”, and had even appeared uncredited in “Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows – Part 1”.
