With “Come Home Love: Lo and Behold” breaking the record long held by “A Kindred Spirit” as the longest running TVB situational drama, veteran actor Lau Dan couldn’t help but feel elated to be able to surpass the 1995 show.
As reported on Mingpao, the actor, who was also part of “A Kindred Spirit” more than 20 years ago, stated that he was touched that he was able to break his own record with “Come Home Love” with its 1056th episode, with the series setting to break into 1,300 episodes.
“I remember that when I attended a work meeting for “A Kindred Spirit”, Ram Chiang’s son had just had his full moon and I congratulated him. But his son has graduated from university now,” he said.
When asked if he would suggest for the stars of “A Kindred spirit” to reunite and make a cameo on “Come Home Love”, Lau smiled and replied, “It’s hard to do that now, because all the cast members are now scattered. Some have gone to other companies and some have emigrated. At present, there is only me, Ram, and Yvonne Lam.”
The actor also expressed confidently that the drama will be able to hit the 2000-episodes mark, saying that the drama will definitely be holding another press conference in two months’ time to announce the extension.
