About a month following the implementation of the Recovery Movement Control Order (RMCO) in Malaysia, The Andaman, A luxury Collection Resort, reopened its doors on 1 July 2020, ready to welcome and rejuvenate guests re-emerging from the nationwide lockdowns.
“Our priority now is to offer meaningful services, focused on immune building, synergizing mind and body while balancing through the integration of wellness to help our guests recover from the long lockdowns, and anxieties that had built up in the isolations and restriction,” said Group Chief Operations Officer of Landmarks Bhd Mr C.K Fong.
The Andaman, which has since begun operating in the new normal with practices that are benchmarked against the Health Ministry’s requirements, as well as the health and safety guidelines of WHO (World Health Organisation), AMSPA (Association of Malaysian Spas), Malaysian National Spa Council and Marriott International, has implemented changes that ensures guests’ ultimate comfort and safety during their stay.
The spa operation hours for V Integrated Wellness remain from 9am to 9pm, but the fitness centre will only operate from 7am to 9pm to ensure that it will always be manned. In accordance with social distancing, some gym equipment has also been removed.
All wellness units, including the fitness centre, salon, spa and yoga centre, will continue to follow local, state and national regulations. The policies and practices will also be updated accordingly as they continue to receive additional guidance from authorities.
Other efforts carried out in minimising contamination include removing printed materials such as menus (guests can now access promotions by scanning the QR codes using their own mobile phones), closing the snack bar (welcome drinks and snacks will be offered in single use, individually packed environmentally friendly packaging instead), and closing the testers and samplers bar (though these are still available upon request).
If you have been looking for a way to recharge during this RMCO, The Andaman has the following special offers that you can fully take advantage of from now until this December!
