If the pandemic hadn’t hit, singer-actor Mugen Rao would’ve finished filming his debut film in India by now.

Mugen, who turns 25 this year, revealed that he had landed acting gigs in three Kollywood movies. He had been filming the first one when the whole world was suddenly forced to go into lockdown.

“I was committed (to acting in) three Tamil films. I was shooting for my debut film in India but the shooting had to be paused due to COVID-19 pandemic. So, I had to come back to Malaysia,” he said on Bernama’s Tamil talk show programme, “Konjum Casual-la Pesalaama”,

The winner of the third season of India’s “Bigg Boss”, also the first Malaysian to enter the reality TV show, did not divulge further on the three movies he will be in.

He added that once the situation in India is under control, he will return to resume and finish filming the first movie.

However, he hasn’t been idly waiting in Malaysia. He’s been his usual busy self, releasing a new song titled “Sathiyama”, holding a live session on Helo, and soon he’ll also be working on a few projects with Kollywood singer-actor Teejay Arunachalam.
