Have you been wishing that you could donate a huge sum to a charity of your choice to help out during the Movement Control Order (MCO) in Malaysia, but you are unable to do so because you yourself have been surviving only on Maggi for the past couple of months?
Namewee’s about to be your fairy godmother because he’s going to make your wish come true!
All you have to do is join his “Ok Lah! Goodbye Corona” singing contest, which is open for submission now until 11pm on next Wednesday, 20 May 2020.
Watch the video below to understand more of it and head to his YouTube or Facebook to check out the requirements.
Basically, you must sing your own version of his latest MCO and COVID-19 inspired single, “OK Lah!”. You can virtually gather as many of your friends to sing it with you, but all must be Malaysian nationals and your group – be it duo, trio or more – must consist of at least two races.
Upload your video to YouTube and submit your participation details, then just wait and cross your fingers that Namewee will pick you as one of the winners.
On 22 May, the singer-filmmaker will announce three winners. Each winner will receive RM10,000 to give to a charity of their choice.
So there’s your chance to be very charitable this year. Now finish slurping your Maggi and go create the most okay “OK Lah!” cover. Good luck!
