In the mood for a road trip? Travel up to Resorts World Genting for a brilliant firework display at the peak when the clock strikes midnight. Head up earlier in the day to savour the crisp, cool air while dining and shopping at SkyAvenue and end the night – as well as the decade – with a vibrant firework show. Unfortunately, as the weather has been temperamental lately, the fireworks will be rescheduled to 8pm the following day if weather conditions aren’t ideal on the 31st.

A bit worn out with the usual fireworks fanfare? Celebrate with ice instead! The Great British Circus is currently running their “Circus on Ice”, an ice ballet full of exciting performances for the whole family. With their mix of jaw-dropping tricks and elegant dances, there isn’t a boring second. While they’re having shows all week, the two New Year’s Eve shows will be special and exclusive editions of their usual routines.

This countdown is packed tight with exciting events! Sunway Velocity has exclusive celebrity concerts, a diverse food bazaar, a whole row of food trucks, free carnival games and of course, fireworks. It’s free and open to the public, so don’t miss out. Spend the day shopping with family, then hang around during nightfall to watch the mall transform. The food carnival begins at 5:30pm, giving you plenty of time to wander and sample the selection, before the fireworks come on at 10pm.
