Popular Southeast Asian rappers Alif and SonaOne have teamed up with Disney Malaysia to celebrate the release of “Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker”, the final movie in the Skywalker saga.
“Never in a million years would we have thought our love for Hip Hop and “Star Wars” could come together in the most perfect way imaginable,” said the duo, whom Disney Malaysia collaborated with for the first time.
“We feel honoured to be a part of this, and as “Star Wars” fanatics ourselves, we hope to connect with all you other fans and celebrate the end of the saga in the ‘littest’ way possible. RISE RISE RISE!”
“Rise” was written and produced by Alif and SonaOne, and the lyrics recap the story of the Skywalker saga (“The Force Awakens”, “The Last Jedi” and “The Rise of Skywalker”).
The song is now available on Spotify and other streaming platforms such as Apple Music. You can listen to “Rise” on your favourite streaming platforms here: DefJamSEA.lnk.to/starwarsrise.
The music video is still in the works, but they promise it’ll be out before we know it! It will go live on DisneyMusicAsiaVEVO very soon, so keep your eyes peeled.
